Koopkoepel, formerly known as Samen Aankoop (SAK), is a purchasing cooperative that operates within the healthcare sector. Its mission is to reduce the workload of its members by organising collective purchases and offering better price-quality solutions. In addition, Koopkoepel supports organisations by providing advice on public procurement and training. This ensures members stay compliant with complex legislation while saving them time and money.
Challenge
Although their services clearly offered added value, the name SAK was not strong enough to attract new members. The challenge was to work with the Board of Directors and members to develop a future-oriented positioning and brand strategy, and from there build a brand identity that conveys trust, professionalism, and connectedness.
Our approach
We organized co-creation sessions with the Board of Directors and members to sharpen the essence of the association. From these insights, we created a strong new brand name: Koopkoepel. We then developed the brand storytelling, imagery, and style to powerfully communicate the organization’s values and mission.
Results
Koopkoepel now stands strong as a purchasing cooperative in healthcare, with a warm and human approach. The team has grown significantly, and the annual conferences connect members while inspiring them with innovative cases. Ongoing communication through the magazine and website ensures continuous involvement and trust.
Thanks to the rebranding and the expansion of their services (collective purchasing, framework agreements, consultancy, and training), Koopkoepel continues to grow as the smart choice for healthcare and welfare organizations.
